Cheltenham Glass and Glazing recently installed a new fire door at a flat within a converted period property in the town.

A fire risk assessment had been conducted at the property, which checked for any fire risks and included a thorough inspection of each flat door, looking for several issues including:

• Gaps over 3mm
• Missing intumescent strips
• Broken closures
• Warping
• Any signs of damage

Unfortunately, the door at this flat had become warped and the closers were not working properly. Both of these issues posed a fire risk.
