Refurbished roof lantern in Cheltenham Promenade

Very professional refurbishment job carried out on the roof lantern at our property. The team from Cheltenham Glass and Glazing were clearly very experienced and worked expertly to complete the job

Our skilled window fitters were recently called to refurbish the roof lantern at a property on Cheltenham’s famous Promenade.

During recent heavy rain, business owner Mr V. had discovered that the lantern was leaking, causing rainwater to get into his workshop below.

In order to remove the old putty, it was gently heated to soften it and carefully scraped away so that the frames could be cleaned and checked for defects.

New glass was then used to replace the old panes of glass. This was fixed in place with new putty which would also seal the windows to keep the weather out.

Glazing putty tends to be used on single panes of glass and is commonly used in heritage buildings.
